A driver has been arrested after leading North Carolina State Highway Patrol troopers on a chase before crashing along NC-24 on Tuesday.
Troopers said the chase started after the driver did not pull over for a traffic stop in Cumberland County. The driver had been speeding.
The driver then led troopers into Sampson County before turning and heading back into Cumberland. A rolling roadblock was set up to stop the driver, who crashed into a Stedman police car and a State Trooper car.
The driver was taken into custody and is being held in the Cumberland County jail. The name of the person involved has not been released.
