Northwest Austin Events in July

Northwest Austin is set to host several events in July, offering something for everyone. The Austin Symphony Fourth of July Concert and Fireworks will take place at Auditorium Shores, featuring food trucks, activities, market vendors, live entertainment, and fireworks.

Fourth of July Celebrations

Cedar Park’s annual Fourth of July celebration will feature live music, carnival rides, inflatables, food trucks, and a fireworks display at 9:30 p.m., followed by an outdoor movie screening. The city recommends Cedar Park High School, Cedar Park Middle School, or Austin Community College for parking as there is no on-site parking.

In addition to the Fourth of July celebrations, other events in July include a large motor play class for children at Kidcreate Studio Northwest Austin, a sustainability fair at the Montopolis Recreation and Community Center, and a free summer music festival in the Red River Cultural District.

Family-Friendly Activities

Kidcreate Studio Northwest Austin will host a large motor play class for children aged 1 to 6 years old, where kids will work on their large motor skills by painting a doghouse, giving inflatable pips a bubble bath, and decorating cardboard dogs. All children must be accompanied by a caregiver.

Austin Resource Recovery will host a sustainability fair at the Montopolis Recreation and Community Center, where Austin residents can learn about multifamily housing composting, pick up a free kitchen compost collector if they live in an apartment or condo, and grab a snack.

Music and Arts

The Red River Cultural District will host its annual free summer music festival with performances at Chess Club, Kingdom, Stubb’s, Swan Dive, and more. The festival will also include a Hot Summer Night Market on July 18 at Liberty Lunch by Future Front Texas.

Paramount Theatre’s 52nd annual summer film series will feature a rewatch of the film “2001: A Space Odyssey” at The Bullock Museum IMAX Theatre.

Austin FC will face off against Seattle at Q2 Stadium on July 22, with tickets starting at $57.

Parents and children can work together to make dough from scratch at Over The Top Cake Supplies, using the dough to make pizza cups, pigs in a blanket, and monkey bread.
