The Dayton Fire and Rescue Command 107, a 2026 Ford F350 Lariat with a V10 engine, was officially inducted into service with a pushing in ceremony at the fire station. Battalion Fire Chief Craig Reeser explained to city council members the tradition of a pushing in ceremony, which has every new brand new fire truck gets pushed in by council, town people, and the fire department to inaugurate it as a service state.
Tradition and Community Involvement
Reeser emphasized the importance of keeping traditions alive and involving the community in the fire department’s activities. The pushing in ceremony is a tradition that many fire departments follow, and Reeser is working to bring it to the Dayton Fire Department.
