The City of Tampa is bringing back its ‘Career Glow Up’ job fair, blending serious networking with a local festival atmosphere. Scheduled for June 12, the event connects job seekers with nearly three dozen employers looking to hire immediately.
Local Workforce Development
Mayor Jane Castor framed the job fair as a push to retain the city’s workforce. ‘This is our way of connecting Tampa’s residents eager to work with jobs and organizations that need their skills,’ Castor said. ‘I believe in keeping Tampa’s talents right here at home, and creating hiring opportunities like Career Glow Up is a way to achieve that goal.’
Organizers are stepping away from the traditional, quiet convention hall setup. Attendees will find a live DJ, free lunch, and various prize giveaways while they network. Hiring managers are planning to conduct on-the-spot interviews throughout the day.
A ‘Career Glow Bar’ will be set up on-site, offering free professional headshots, styling tips, resume workshops, and interview coaching for applicants needing extra preparation before meeting with employers.
