In addition to the free showers, the center will also offer hygiene items and clothes on a first-come, first-served basis. Towels and washcloths will be provided. Food 4 Souls will also have showers available at Southeast Community Services, located at 924 Shelby St, every Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The showers will be available until temperatures consistently dip to freezing, typically around late October or early November. Vickie Tyner, executive director of Food 4 Souls, emphasized the importance of providing these basic necessities to the community.
