Naperville residents have two reasons to celebrate this week. The city announced that Andrea Lamberg, a native of Naperville with more than 18 years of municipal finance experience, will become the next Director of Finance. Lamberg’s first day is set for Monday, Dec. 14, just as the 2027 budget is being finalized.
Lamberg previously served as finance director for the Village of Oswego, where she crafted the financing plan for its Lake Michigan water project, and held the same role in Hinsdale and Park Ridge. City officials highlighted her deep local roots and extensive expertise as key assets for managing Naperville’s finances.
Monopoly Game Celebrates Local Landmarks
In a fun nod to community pride, the Naperville edition of Monopoly debuted Thursday, Nov. 12, at a family launch party held at the DuPage Children’s Museum, 301 N. Washington St. The event ran from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., featuring a meet‑and‑greet with Mr. Monopoly, a design station for custom game pieces, and a top‑hat scavenger hunt.
The limited‑edition board showcases local landmarks, businesses, and organizations, and is priced at $39.99 at the event, with pre‑orders available online. Organizers said the game is a way to foster hometown pride and bring families together.
Upcoming Election Results
Naperville voters participated in the midterm general election on Tuesday, Nov. 3, casting ballots for county board, forest preserve, and regional superintendent races. Some contests remain too close to call, and official results will not be certified until the DuPage and Will County clerks finalize them by Tuesday, Nov. 24. Residents can view all race totals on the city’s Election Results page.
