Rep. Brandon Gill Supports Ken Paxton and Questions Medicaid Fraud

Representative Brandon Gill of Texas has thrown his support behind Attorney General Ken Paxton in the Texas Senate race, while also raising significant concerns about Medicaid fraud in Ohio. In a recent interview on the Ruthless Podcast, Gill discussed his involvement in a viral hearing addressing these issues.

Medicaid Fraud Concerns

During a hearing of the Task Force on Defending Constitutional Rights and Exposing Institutional Abuses, Gill questioned an Ohio legislator about the impact of Somali immigration on the state. This question was part of a broader inquiry into alleged Medicaid fraud, which has been brought to light by investigative reporting. Gill expressed frustration over the misuse of taxpayer dollars, stating, “I don’t like being called racist, but I dislike seeing our tax dollars burn every single day a whole lot more.”

The issue of Medicaid fraud has gained attention after reports revealed fraudulent activities involving the misuse of funds. Vice President JD Vance’s White House Anti-Fraud Task Force and Republican gubernatorial nominee Vivek Ramaswamy have both emphasized the need to address government abuse, highlighting approximately $1.1 trillion in improper payments by state and federal governments.

Support for Ken Paxton

In addition to his focus on Medicaid fraud, Gill has been active in Texas politics, endorsing Ken Paxton in the recent Senate runoff. Speaking at Paxton’s victory party, Gill expressed confidence in Paxton’s chances, stating, “Trump’s name is not on the ballot. We’re going to do everything we can to nationalize the election because the people are with the president.” Paxton himself has noted the unity among Republicans in Texas as they prepare for a competitive general election.

Both Gill and Paxton’s interviews are part of the Ruthless Midterm Interview Series, which aims to feature major candidates across the country. As Texans prepare to head to the polls on November 3rd, the focus remains on key issues such as government accountability and the integrity of public funds.
