Families in Indianapolis have an exciting opportunity to enjoy free roller skating this summer at Skateland, located at 3902 N. Glen Arm Road. In partnership with local organizations, Skateland is hosting two free admission events to encourage safe and fun activities for the community.
June 9 Free Skate Night
The first event will take place on June 9 from 6-8:30 p.m. The first 200 families to arrive will receive free admission, although skate rentals will cost $5. Attendees can also participate in raffles for prizes, adding to the evening’s excitement. This event is made possible with the support of Genesys Solutions, NAMI Greater Indianapolis, and Stop the Violence Indianapolis.
July 19 Skate and School Supply Giveaway
The second event, scheduled for July 19 from 1-5 p.m., will focus on supporting local youth as they prepare for the upcoming school year. The first 100 youth attendees will be granted free admission, and Skateland plans to distribute over 200 backpacks filled with school supplies. This initiative is in collaboration with Boundless Youth, aiming to equip students with necessary materials while providing a fun day out.
These events highlight the importance of community engagement and support, offering families a chance to bond and enjoy wholesome activities together. Skateland’s efforts, alongside its partners, demonstrate a commitment to fostering a safe and supportive environment for families in Indianapolis.
