The City of Durango Streets Division is inviting residents to participate in a Free Mulch Giveaway on Friday, June 5, and Saturday, June 6. The event will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the old Vandal Landfill site, located in the Durango Tech Center area.
This initiative provides an excellent opportunity for local families and gardeners to obtain mulch produced from brown waste collected during the city’s spring and fall cleanup programs. The mulch will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, and will be available while supplies last.
Residents planning to attend are asked to bring their own trucks, trailers, containers, and tarps to transport the mulch. Although loading assistance will be available, self-loading is encouraged to help maintain a smooth flow of traffic at the site.
