Texas A&M University-San Antonio is launching its first-ever doctoral program, a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership, with applications now being accepted for classes starting this fall.
Program Details
The fully-online doctoral program is designed to accommodate working educators, including principals, assistant principals, superintendents, and teachers, with flexible courses and specialized tracks in areas such as special education, early childhood education, and bilingual education.
The program was developed with input from local educators and alumni, and is intended to address the needs of the region’s education community. The university received initial approval for the program from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board in July 2025, and final accreditation from the Commission on Colleges and Universities this summer.
Applications are being accepted until July 15, with applicants expected to hear back between July and August. Classes will begin in August.
