Indianapolis Company Hosts Spanish Writing Contest This Summer

Residents of Indianapolis have an exciting opportunity to test their Spanish language skills this summer through a new writing contest. Organized by Spanish for Entities, a local company dedicated to providing Spanish lessons to business professionals, the contest encourages creativity and language proficiency among participants.

Contest Details and Categories

The contest is open to both youth, aged 9-18, and adults, with separate categories for native Spanish speakers and those learning the language. Participants are required to submit original, unpublished works of no more than 1,000 words. There is no specific theme, allowing writers to express their creativity freely.

Spanish for Entities aims to announce the winners in early August, with an award ceremony to follow later that month. Winners will have the opportunity to read their stories publicly at the ceremony, receive a $100 cash prize, and a surprise gift. Additionally, non-native Spanish speakers will be awarded a scholarship for a 30-hour Spanish course offered by the company.

How to Enter

Interested participants should email their entries to [email protected] with the subject line “Concurso de Cuentos.” The deadline for submissions is June 30. This initiative not only promotes language learning but also fosters a sense of community and cultural engagement in Indianapolis.

Spanish for Entities continues to support language education and cultural exchange, reflecting the values of family and community engagement. This contest provides a platform for individuals to enhance their language skills and connect with others who share a passion for Spanish language and culture.
