WINONA LAKE, Ind. – The Community Arts Program of Kosciusko County is set to celebrate its fifth annual Java, Jive & Pie fundraiser on Saturday, Oct. 24. The evening, themed “The Village Canteen,” will transform Rodeheaver Auditorium at 901 Park Ave. into a nostalgic 1940s swing‑era venue.
Program highlights
The night begins with a dance lesson at 6 p.m., led by Matt and Cindy Smith of Art of Dance Warsaw. Attendees are encouraged to wear period attire and join the floor for a lively swing experience. At 7 p.m., the Vocal Vibes adult vocal jazz ensemble will perform classic songs from the era, followed by instrumental sets from Wally Brath and The Village Canteen Band.
Fundraising purpose
All proceeds support the Community Arts Program’s mission to provide creative and collaborative opportunities for residents of Kosciusko County. The organization uses funds to develop music and art programs that nurture local talent and bring cultural enrichment to the area.
