WARSAW, Indiana – On Saturday, Sept. 19, Joe’s Kids hosted its biggest annual fundraiser, the Tailgate, Dinner & Auction, at the Miller Sunset Pavilion. The football‑themed evening brought together families, local businesses, donors and volunteers to back the nonprofit’s mission of providing therapy services to children with developmental challenges.
Event highlights and community involvement
The night began with a classic tailgate atmosphere, complete with grills, games and a festive crowd. Attendees then enjoyed a seated dinner before moving to a live auction featuring donated items and experiences from area sponsors. Auction proceeds, along with ticket sales and direct donations, will be directed to the organization’s physical, occupational and speech therapy programs.
Impact on local children and families
Joe’s Kids CEO Rebecca Bazzoni explained that the funds raised help children reach developmental milestones, build confidence and achieve personal goals. “Our therapy services are designed to give each child the tools they need to thrive in school, at home and in the community,” Bazzoni said.
The organization serves children throughout Kosciusko County, offering individualized treatment plans that address a range of needs, from motor‑skill development to communication challenges. By expanding capacity with the new funds, Joe’s Kids aims to reduce wait times and reach more families who might otherwise lack access to specialized care.
Gratitude to supporters
Event organizers thanked the many sponsors, auction donors, volunteers and committee members whose contributions made the evening possible. Local businesses such as Miller Brewing Co., Sunset Café and several area retailers provided in‑kind donations and auction items, underscoring the community’s commitment to supporting its youngest residents.
Community members expressed enthusiasm for the event’s success. “It’s wonderful to see our town come together for a cause that directly benefits our kids,” said longtime volunteer Mark Stevens. “Events like this show the strength of our neighborhood and the value we place on family and faith‑based service.”
Looking ahead
Joe’s Kids plans to build on the momentum of this year’s fundraiser by expanding outreach to neighboring towns and exploring additional partnership opportunities with local schools and churches. The organization hopes to continue delivering high‑quality therapy services that align with family values and promote healthy development for every child in the region.
