FORT WORTH, Texas – On Sunday afternoon, a road‑rage confrontation between two drivers turned violent in the 3400 block of Thannisch Avenue, resulting in a shooting at a family residence and a police pursuit.

Officers responded to a shooting call at 1:34 p.m. When they arrived, they learned that the victim had already been taken to a hospital in a private vehicle. Investigators later determined the victim was not hit by gunfire; instead, shattered glass from bullets that struck the front door caused the injuries.
Police say the dispute began on the road, with one driver following the other toward the latter’s home. Once the vehicle reached the residence, occupants inside opened fire on family members standing outside.
Police response
Detectives from the Fort Worth Police Department’s Real‑Time Crime Center entered the suspect vehicle’s description into the FLOCK license‑plate reader system, which quickly produced a match. Officers located the car and attempted a traffic stop using emergency lights and sirens.
The vehicle fled, leading to a chase that concluded near the 1900 block of Handley‑Ederville Road. During the pursuit, officers observed at least one firearm tossed from the fleeing car. A subsequent search uncovered two additional handguns.
Arrests
Four juveniles, ages 14 to 16, were detained at the scene. All four will be interviewed by detectives. Their names and dates of birth were not released because of their ages.
