The Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens in Sanford is gearing up for a patriotic, conservation-focused Labor Day weekend event with ‘Red, White & Indigo: Celebrating Wild America.’ The event is set for 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5.

Visitors can enjoy music from a live DJ, family activities across the zoo, special presentations, Keeper Chats, and interactive experiences that celebrate America’s 250th birthday and the conservation of native wildlife.
A limited menu inspired by classic American flavors will be available, including smoked brisket, pulled chicken, potato salad, and kettle chips, as well as treats like lemonade, funnel cakes, shaved ice, Rocket Pop floats, and more.
Tickets range in price, from free admission for members to $25.95 for adults, $21.95 for seniors, and $19.95 for kids ages 3-12. A $2 donation is suggested to benefit conservation efforts at the Orianne Center for Indigo Conservation.
