Crews are battling a large grass fire near Reno and Council, where trees and a nearby bridge caught fire, while I-40 eastbound is also shut down.
High winds and hot temperatures caused grass fires to pop up across Oklahoma, including in the OKC metro.
Fire crews were responding to the area of Reno Avenue and Council Road for a large grass fire that has caught trees and a nearby bridge to catch fire.
This was just to the north of I-40 and northwest of the OKC Outlets.
A separate fire shut down Interstate 40 eastbound at mile marker 117 just after 4 p.m. There was also a semi fire reported in the area.
