As the new school year approaches, Duval County schools are working with community partners to host supply giveaways. According to Duval Schools spokesperson Lauren Ricks, families can reach out to their local schools directly for guidance on how to donate.
Donation Opportunities
Marilyn M. Barnwell, principal of Alfred I. Dupont Middle School, says anyone interested in donating can do so by stopping by the main office. Elizabeth Stewart, principal at Arlington Elementary School, has an Amazon wishlist of school and classroom supplies. Some schools are also benefiting from local businesses’ and nonprofits’ supply drives, including Radifi Credit Union, which is accepting donations at their various branches until August 7.
