Six former Arizona Wildcats players competed in the NBA Summer League, which concluded recently in Las Vegas. The team’s two first-round picks, Brayden Burries and Koa Peat, made a significant impact in the tournament.
Impressive Performances
Burries, the No. 10 overall pick to the Milwaukee Bucks, averaged 22.9 points over three games, shooting 50% from the field and 44.4% from three-point range. He also had 12 assists and seven steals, with a player efficiency rating of 32.8, the highest among all newcomers.
Peat, the No. 30 overall pick to the Phoenix Suns, averaged 16.8 points on 51% shooting across four games. He scored double digits in each game, with his best performance coming in a win over the Bucks, where he scored 19 points and had six rebounds and two steals.
Other former Wildcats who participated in the Summer League include Jaden Bradley, Tobe Awaka, Anthony Dell’Orso, and Carter Bryant. While some players had more impressive performances than others, they all gained valuable experience that will help them in their future careers.
