A Penske truck was heavily damaged in a ‘Storrowing’ incident on Friday, impacting traffic during Boston’s morning commute. The truck hit a railroad bridge on Storrow Drive eastbound at River Road, just before the BU Bridge, around 5:50 a.m.
The top of the truck was completely torn off, but there were no injuries. Traffic was halted by the Double Tree Hotel exit, and delays were reported. It’s unclear when Soldiers Field Road, east toward Storrow, at River Road, will reopen.
