A 19-year-old Denver man, Simon Botros, was arrested in Aurora in connection with a robbery in Colorado Springs. According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), robbery detectives asked for help from the Violent Offender Fugitive Task Force at the beginning of July to find three suspects involved in the robbery.
CSPD identified Botros as one of the suspects and found a location for him near Aurora. They requested help from the Denver FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force. On July 15, local FBI, along with Aurora Police Department personnel, located Botros and attempted to arrest him. Botros started to run on foot before being hit with a taser and taken into custody.
