Los Angeles police are investigating the deaths of two toddler boys who died from a possible drug overdose in their family home in the Hyde Park neighborhood of South LA. The boys, identified as Atlas and Sebastian Carbajal, were found dead by paramedics who responded to a medical emergency at the home on South Victoria Avenue near Crenshaw Boulevard.
Although toxicology results are not available, law enforcement sources believe that fentanyl may have been involved in the boys’ deaths. Detectives have interviewed the victims’ family members and released them for now. The autopsies on the boys are complete, but the release of the results is postponed until toxicology reports are available.
The LAPD is urging anyone with information to reach out to the LAPD Juvenile Division at 213-486-0570.
