University of Kentucky shortstop Tyler Bell was selected by the Colorado Rockies with the number 10 pick in the Major League Baseball Draft on Saturday.

Bell hit .343 with nine home runs for the Cats. The Chicago native is the second highest selection in UK history, following Chad Green who went number eight in 1996.
