A Bend teenager has achieved something extraordinarily rare: earning the top honor in Civil Air Patrol while simultaneously receiving acceptance letters from all five U.S. military academies, according to Central Oregon Daily.

The young achiever was recently featured in Central Oregon Daily’s “People You Should Know” series, which spotlights remarkable community members making a difference.
