Flower Mound residents can celebrate creativity all November after the Town Council formally declared the month Arts Month. The town is offering a slate of free, family‑friendly events that showcase local talent and invite community participation.
Art Party at the Library
On Friday, Nov. 6, from 5 to 7 p.m., the Flower Mound Public Library will host the 12th annual Art Party. The event features artwork created by Lewisville ISD and homeschooled students, live professional art demonstrations, hands‑on activities, face painting, glitter tattoos, and more. Winners of the 2026 Bookmark Design Contest will also be announced.
Traffic‑Signal Art Boxes
Three new traffic‑signal boxes now display original artwork by local artists: Yvonne Gambino (Morriss Road and College Parkway), Lauren Cooper (Flower Mound Road and McKamy Creek Road) and Michelle Pavlik (Garden Ridge Boulevard and Spinks Road). The town encourages residents to submit designs for the 2027 project; details and a map of existing boxes are available at flowermound.gov/trafficbox.
Make Your Mark Community Mural
Saturday, Nov. 7, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Community Activity Center will host “Make Your Mark,” an immersive art experience. Participants can draw, write, paint or doodle on the walls of a designated room, turning the space into a collaborative masterpiece. The event is free, though registration is requested.
Cross Timbers Artist Guild Studio Tour
Since 2002, the Cross Timbers Artist Guild has organized an annual studio tour that lets the public explore artists’ workspaces across Denton County. The 2026 tour will feature six studio locations with artists such as Ann Cahill, Ellen Floyd, Jung Chance, Doris Augirre, Alton Bowman, Sweety Bowman, Karen Nixon, Stacy Jenkins, Jennifer Tofanelli, Anita Robbins, Brittney Brown and Marty Robbins. An opening reception will be held Friday, Nov. 20, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Studio Art House, 6100 Long Prairie Road, Suite 800, Flower Mound. The tour runs Saturday, Nov. 21, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visitors can view maps, artist information and a directory on site or access an interactive map at ctagmobile.com.
Additional Art Displays
Local artists’ work continues to be featured at Town Hall, the Senior Center, the Flower Mound Public Library’s Practicing Artist Wall and the Children’s Art Wall. For those unable to attend the studio tour, many guild members have pieces on display at The Grand in Lewisville through the end of November.
Flower Mound’s Arts Month underscores the town’s commitment to making art accessible to everyone, reinforcing the belief that creativity enriches families, strengthens community bonds, and celebrates the talents of local creators.
