K-pop fans and dance enthusiasts in Tuscaloosa will have the chance to learn new choreography and sharpen their skills this month as the Historic Bama Theatre hosts a series of K-pop Summer Dance Classes.
Class Details
The weekly classes will be held each Monday in July at the Bama Theatre, located at 600 Greensboro Avenue in downtown Tuscaloosa. Sessions begin at 5:30 p.m. for beginners, followed by an advanced class at 6:30 p.m.
Led by instructor Celeste Lewis, the classes are designed for dancers of all experience levels and feature a welcoming environment for participants to learn choreography, build confidence and connect with fellow K-pop fans.
The series will include a variety of dance styles, including hip hop, heels, fusion and other techniques commonly used in K-pop choreography. Organizers say the classes are ideal for anyone interested in learning dance fundamentals or simply enjoying music in a fun, supportive setting.
Each week will feature different choreography and themes, including Partner Day on July 13, an 18-and-over heels class on July 20, and a Pink & Cameo-themed session on July 27.
For more information about the classes or to purchase tickets, contact the Bama Theatre Box Office at 205-758-5195, ext. 1, or visit the Arts Council of Tuscaloosa’s website.
