A shooting outside a nightclub in Waterbury, Connecticut, early Sunday morning resulted in one death and one person in critical condition. Officers responded to a report of shots fired at LA 42 Night Club on East Main Street around 12 a.m.
Upon arrival, police found a large gathering and evidence of gunfire. An 18-year-old woman from Waterbury was found unresponsive on the ground outside the club, suffering from a gunshot wound. Nearby, a 22-year-old man was also found on the ground with a gunshot wound and was unresponsive.
Both victims were taken to the hospital, where the man succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. The woman remains in critical condition with life-threatening injuries. The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to contact the Waterbury Police Department Detective Bureau or provide anonymous tips to Crime Stoppers.
