Slovenia’s Tadej Pogacar is looking forward to continuing his rivalry with Jonas Vingegaard in the Tour de France, which begins on Saturday in Barcelona.
Competition Heats Up
Pogacar told a press conference on Thursday that the competition between him and Vingegaard has been spectacular, and he hopes it will continue for a few more years.
Pogacar is chasing a record-equalling fifth Tour title, while Vingegaard is bidding for a third victory following his triumphs in 2022 and 2023.
Other contenders for the three-week race include France’s Paul Seixas, Belgium’s Remco Evenepoel, and Germany’s Florian Lipowitz.
Pogacar has had a dominant start to the season, with wins including a maiden Milan-San Remo title and a fourth Liege-Bastogne-Liege.
He will be supported by a strong team, including Mexico’s Isaac del Toro and Britain’s Adam Yates.
