Cadillac F1, the newest team in Formula 1, has unveiled a special livery for the British Grand Prix. The team’s ‘America 250’ livery features a red, white, and blue paint scheme, symbolizing the team’s American identity and honoring the country’s 250th birthday milestone.
Team’s American Pride
Dan Towriss, Cadillac F1 CEO, stated that the 4th of July weekend is an opportunity for the team to show its continued pride in representing the United States on the global stage of F1. The team aims to use this occasion to introduce new communities to the sport and share their passion.
The ‘America 250’ livery includes a rear wing with ‘USA’ and a front wing with 50 stars, further emphasizing the team’s American heritage. Cadillac F1 hopes to bounce back from a disappointing Austrian Grand Prix, where both Sergio Pérez and Valtteri Bottas had to retire early due to overheating brakes.
Looking Ahead to Silverstone
Graeme Lowdon, Cadillac’s team principal, expressed that the team has been working hard to rectify the issues and is looking forward to a clean weekend at Silverstone. Pérez, who nearly secured the team’s first F1 point at the Monaco Grand Prix, is encouraged by the team’s performance and hopes to deliver for American fans during the British Grand Prix.
