Elizabethtown Shelter Closes Temporary Domestic Violence Services Available

A plan is now in place to provide domestic violence services temporarily after an Elizabethtown shelter closed. Springhaven, the only state-designated domestic violence shelter for eight counties, lost its funding and ended all operations on Tuesday.

Temporary Services Available

Starting Wednesday, anyone experiencing domestic violence in those eight counties can reach a certified advocate by calling 1-877-949-0515. The counties include Breckinridge, Meade, Grayson, Hardin, Larue, Nelson, Marion, and Washington.
