The New York Rangers have traded center Adam Edstrom to the Nashville Predators in exchange for prospect Massimo Rizzo and the No. 148 draft pick.
Edstrom’s 2025-26 season was disrupted by injuries, and he played in only 35 games. During his three-year tenure with New York, he had 10 goals, six assists and 189 hits.
Rizzo, 25, was not expected to receive a qualifying offer from the Rangers, which will make him a free agent this week.
The trade clears a path for other promising players to earn a roster spot.
