A new community resilience center has opened in East Los Angeles to help residents affected by the Boyle Heights commercial fire. The East Los Angeles Library is now serving as a community resilience center to connect impacted residents to resources that can help them in the wake of the fire.

The site will include a mobile health clinic, distributions of air purifiers and masks on a first-come, first-served basis and connections to resources to support residents. Several agencies will participate in the center to provide information to help community members in need.
City officials expressed concerns that the rotting food from the fire would pose a biohazard risk to surrounding neighborhoods. The company and warehouse owner will be financially responsible for the cleanup under the oversight of the Emergency Management Department.
