The 82nd annual Rodeo of the Ozarks begins today at Parsons Stadium in Springdale, featuring a full week of fun, including mutton bustin’, rodeo events, and celebrating the western lifestyle.
Rodeo Schedule and Events
The parade starts at 10 a.m., beginning at Parsons Stadium and heading down Emma Avenue going west. For the night events, gates open at 6, and youth events start at 6:15. Rodeo action starts at 7, with a night full of fun for all families.
Each night has a theme this year, which are as follows: Faith and Family Night on Wednesday, Retro Night on Thursday, Bold Enough to Wear Gold on Friday, and Patriotic Night on Saturday. ‘Bold Enough to Wear Gold’ is a new theme this year, which looks to bring awareness to childhood cancer.
There will be other entertainment acts, including Rodeo Clown Sean ‘Boom Boom’ Thompson and specialty act One Armed Bandit. All events are rain or shine for the rodeo.
