Louisville Metro Police Department has arrested four people in connection to more than two dozen burglaries and auto thefts across the city and surrounding areas. The arrested individuals are Kevontae Bowman (18), Tom’Viohn Townsend (22), Jordan Townsend (19), and Kevontez Nixon (20). They are facing several charges, including burglary, engaging in organized crime, and theft by unlawful taking.
Investigation Details
LMPD, including detectives from K9 and SWAT units, searched a property on Hale Avenue, where they found nine cars and dozens of other items. Inside the property, police found several wallets, watches, guns, weapons, medications, vests, backpacks, and what appeared to be a taxidermy beaver.
LMPD is encouraging people to keep cars locked at night and to take any belongings out of the car to prevent theft. According to LMPD spokesperson Matt Sanders, the four suspects targeted vehicles in an organized crime spree. The investigation is still ongoing, and Sanders anticipates more arrests to stem from it.
