A shooting in Boston’s Mattapan neighborhood left one person dead and four others injured. Boston police responded to the area of 1460 Blue Hill Avenue for a report of a person shot around 1:45 a.m. and arrived on scene to find five people with gunshot wounds.
All five were taken to local hospitals, where one was pronounced dead from their injuries, according to police, who said it appears all victims are adult males. There was no word on the conditions of the other four victims.
It’s also unclear what led to the shooting. No arrests have been announced, and police haven’t said if they believe there was more than one shooter. This is a very active investigation, police noted, and more information will be provided when it’s available.
