Firefighters are battling a brush fire burning in the Angeles National Forest in the Azusa area, emergency personnel announced Monday.
The Zebra Fire was reported sometime before 7 p.m. on Highway 39. Due to the ongoing response, the highway has been shut down to all traffic at Sierra Madre. As of 9 p.m. Monday, the fire has grown to 10 acres.
While crews work to extinguish the blaze, the following areas are under advisory: The Azusa Police Department said there is no threat to the city of Azusa. Residents are warned that they may notice smoke, however.
