The Mate X is designed as a consumer‑grade mobility solution for everyday life, aiming to give people who struggle with walking a more dignified, independent option. Riders select a destination, and the robot autonomously navigates using a fused sensor suite that includes area‑array LiDAR, dual line LiDARs, a time‑of‑flight sensor, six cameras and ultrasonic detectors, providing 360‑degree awareness of obstacles and pedestrians.
Key features include an electric seat lift that raises the rider up to 18 cm for reaching shelves or eye‑level conversation, a range of up to 30 km on a 453.6 Wh LFP battery, and on‑device processing of navigation data, keeping user data private.
