Wyoming House District 57 GOP Primary

Wyoming’s House District 57 is seeing a rematch in the GOP primary, with Jeanette Ward challenging incumbent Julie Jarvis. Ward, a pro-life advocate, had previously held the seat but lost to Jarvis in the 2024 primary.

Ward’s Platform

Ward, who moved to Wyoming from Illinois, has been a vocal supporter of conservative values, including the Second Amendment and parental rights. She has also been critical of Jarvis, alleging that her voting record does not align with Republican principles.

As a former member of the U-46 School Board in Illinois, Ward has experience in education and has sponsored bills aimed at protecting parental rights and limiting government overreach.

Jarvis’s Approach

Jarvis, a longtime reading specialist and director of teaching and learning for Natrona County School District 1, has taken a more moderate approach. She has emphasized the importance of listening to constituents and has conducted surveys to better understand their needs and concerns.

Jarvis has also been open about her willingness to work across party lines and has supported measures aimed at promoting economic development and preserving public lands.

The winner of the primary will face Democratic candidate Luc Colgrove in the general election.
