At its April 7 meeting, the Wylie Planning and Zoning Commission approved two site plans and recommended a large-scale rezoning change. The items considered are associated with road construction, retail expansion and anticipated industrial development.
Members voted to allow a temporary concrete batch plant to operate on city-owned land at the southeast corner of Skyview Drive and Forest Ross Road. According to city staff, the plant will support the ongoing Collin County project to build Park Boulevard.
The approved site plan shows access points from Forest Ross Road and the future Park Boulevard, along with designated areas for materials and equipment storage. The approval included conditions to ensure the project complies with the city’s zoning ordinance.
