A woman is wanted in connection with an attempted armed carjacking outside a hotel in Dania Beach last month, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.
Incident Details
The incident occurred on June 6 at the Courtyard by Marriott hotel near the 400 block of Gulf Stream Way. The victim was loading equipment into her car’s trunk when two people approached her, and one demanded her car keys. The victim refused to hand over the keys, and the suspect pulled a gun from her waistband and pointed it at the victim, demanding the keys again.
The victim took off running and entered the hotel lobby to get help from the manager and an employee. Surveillance video shows the suspect approaching the entrance armed with a handgun and pointing it at people in the lobby before walking off.
The Broward Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information about the suspect to call 954-321-4296.
