A 34-year-old woman was shot multiple times outside a home in the Throggs Neck section of the Bronx Monday night. The woman was standing outside a residence on Hollywood Avenue just before 10:10 p.m. when she was struck in the left arm and buttocks.
She was rushed to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and is expected to survive. Police said the suspects, two masked gunmen, fled southbound on Hollywood Avenue in a gray SUV, possibly a Kia. One of the men was wearing a black Nike sweatshirt.
No arrests have been made. Detectives do not yet know what prompted the shooting and continue to investigate a possible motive. At the scene, officers surrounded a vehicle parked outside the home, examining what appeared to be bullet damage to the driver’s side window.
