A woman was rescued at an Olive Garden in Newington, New Hampshire, after being held hostage by a man who forced her into a ‘satanic ritual’ and marriage.

According to the arrest affidavit, the woman’s mother tracked her cell phone to the Olive Garden location and notified the Pennsylvania State Police, who contacted the police in Newington. Officers found the woman in tears with cigarette burns on her legs. The suspect, Daniel Ouellet, 47, claimed the woman was his wife and they were out to dinner. However, the woman told police that Ouellet had threatened her and her family, forcing her to marry him and participate in the ‘satanic ritual’, which involved slicing her hand open with a box cutter.

Police found a copy of ‘The Satanic Bible’ in Ouellet’s car and filed an emergency restraining order to keep him away from the woman. Ouellet denied the allegations and was ordered held in preventative detention.
