Alice Day, a 30-year-old nursery worker from Warwick, lost an impressive 10st 5lbs (145 pounds) in just two years after being left devastated by a Christmas party photo. Weighing 20st 11lbs (291 pounds) at her heaviest, Alice decided to turn her life around and ditch her fatty meals for lean, high-protein options. She also started running and joined her local Slimming World club in January 2024.
Her Journey
Alice’s weight had begun to impact her work, making it difficult for her to kneel down and play with the children she cared for. However, after making significant lifestyle changes, she noticed a substantial improvement in her overall health and wellbeing. Her sciatica disappeared, and physical activity became much easier. Alice’s confidence also grew, and she started to enjoy activities she previously avoided due to her weight.
Alice’s boyfriend, Sam, has also been supportive of her weight loss journey and has lost weight by eating the same healthy meals as her. Alice has combined her new diet with exercise and has recently completed her first 10k run. She has also saved money on takeaways, which she used to fund a trip to Disney World in Florida to celebrate her 30th birthday.
Alice’s story is an inspiration to many, showing that with determination and the right support, it’s possible to make significant lifestyle changes and achieve a healthier, happier life.
