Wisconsin Woman Arrested After Shooting Incident in Bend, Oregon

A woman from Wisconsin, Karlina Cooper, was arrested following a shooting incident in Bend, Oregon, late Friday night. The incident involved a 32-year-old man from Texas who was shot in the stomach.

Details of the Incident

The altercation occurred around 11:53 p.m. on May 29 in the 300 block of SW Century Drive. It began with a verbal dispute between the Texas man and a family member. The situation escalated when the Texas man allegedly struck the family member with a Ford F-350 truck.

Karlina Cooper, 35, who is the wife of the man struck by the vehicle, responded by shooting the Texas man. A 15-year-old family member was also present at the scene during the incident.

Aftermath and Charges

Both men involved in the incident were transported to St. Charles for medical treatment, with their injuries reported as non-life-threatening. Cooper was arrested and faces charges of first-degree assault and unlawful use of a weapon. She was taken to the Deschutes County Jail.
