Fond du Lac, a Wisconsin town with a population of about 44,000, has launched a new talent attraction program to attract new residents. The program, part of MakeMyMove, offers up to $9,500 in relocation and local experiences to remote or local workers.
Program Details
The program includes a $5,500 cash relocation stipend, as well as perks such as YMCA memberships, local baseball experiences, golf packages, arts access, local dining, family activities, and more. The effort is aimed at attracting younger workers and families to address workforce needs and an aging population.
Fond du Lac is promoting its unique features, including nationally recognized school improvements, strong local employers, affordable living, lakeside amenities, and a wide range of family-focused organizations and experiences. The program is sponsored by The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation in partnership with Envision Greater Fond du Lac.
