Wisconsin recently hosted the Midwest Agricultural Leaders meeting, where leaders from across the region gathered to discuss current issues and policies impacting the region.
MASDA Meeting
The meeting, attended by Commissioners, Secretaries, and Directors of Agriculture from 13 states, including Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota, and Wisconsin, aimed to facilitate conversations and connect the dots across the region.
While in Wisconsin, attendees participated in tours highlighting the state’s leadership in bovine genetics, land and water conservation practices, and meat and dairy processing. Panel discussions celebrated youth engagement, the International Year of the Woman Farmer, and the Wisconsin Initiative for Agricultural Exports.
Food Export Association Meeting
The 2026 MASDA Regional Meeting also included a meeting of the Food Export Association of the Midwest USA (Food Export Midwest), a non-profit organization that works to facilitate trade between Midwestern food suppliers and importers around the world.
