Wildfires out of Canada have created a large plume of smoke, leading to poor air quality in parts of the Midwest, including Cincinnati.
Air Quality Alert
An Air Quality Alert is in effect for all of Ohio, as well as Boone, Kenton, and Campbell counties in Kentucky, and Fayette, Franklin, Union, and Dearborn counties through Friday.
The National Weather Service reports that the smoke will push southwest Friday morning, potentially reaching parts of the Tri-State, before retreating off to the east later in the day.
Residents can expect dry conditions to start the morning, but scattered storms will develop in the afternoon, bringing heavy rain and potentially gusty winds.
