Emergency responders from across the region will take part in a large-scale training exercise Sunday in Whitley County, Indiana.
Residents can expect to see an increased presence of emergency vehicles and personnel at the Richland Township Fire Department and Whitko Career Academy throughout the day.
Officials say the exercise is only a training event and no action is required from the public. Whitko Career Academy will be closed during the drill.
Emergency management leaders say the training helps agencies prepare for real-world emergencies and appreciate the public’s understanding.
