Lubbock and Odessa are gearing up for massive 4th of July celebrations, with a range of family-friendly activities and events. In Lubbock, the annual 4th on Broadway event kicks off at 9:45 a.m. with a parade, followed by a picnic, live music, and a fireworks show.
Lubbock’s 4th on Broadway

Odessa’s Firecracker Fandango
In Odessa, the Firecracker Fandango celebration will feature a watermelon eating contest, live band performances, axe throwing, a car show, dunk tank, foam pit, and a mechanical bull. The event will also include a fireworks display starting at 10 p.m.
Attendees are invited to sign up for the Passport Experience for a chance to win City of Odessa swag. Both events promise to be fun and safe for the whole family.
