On June 5, the Childhood Agricultural Safety Network will host a webinar focused on sun protection strategies for children and youth working in agriculture. The event, beginning at 1 p.m. Central Time, will feature Dr. Brianne Haskell-Hanisch from the Marshfield Clinic Dermatology Department. Dr. Haskell-Hanisch, who grew up in rural Nebraska, brings personal and professional insights into the unique challenges faced by young people on farms and ranches.
Expert Insights on Sun Safety
Dr. Haskell-Hanisch, nearing the end of her second year of residency, will share her expertise in dermatology, particularly in diagnosing and treating skin cancer among farmers. Her presentation will be followed by a question-and-answer session, providing attendees the opportunity to engage directly with her expertise.
The webinar is part of the quarterly meeting of the Childhood Agricultural Safety Network, a coalition of nearly 300 individuals and organizations dedicated to ensuring the safety of young people in agricultural settings. The network is facilitated by the National Children’s Center for Rural and Agricultural Safety and Health, part of the Marshfield Clinic Research Institute.
