WDSRA is celebrating its 50th anniversary with a series of events and partnerships in the community. The organization has launched a special 50th Anniversary Lager in collaboration with Pollyanna Brewing & Distilling, with $1 from each sale in July going to support WDSRA programs and families.

Upcoming Events

WDSRA is hosting two special events this summer. The first is a Friends & Family BINGO event on July 19 at the Wheaton Park District Community Center, featuring 10 games of Bingo, popcorn, water, and prizes. The second is a 50th Anniversary Block Party on August 30 at the Riverwalk Grand Pavilion in Naperville, with inflatables, obstacle courses, carnival games, and live music.

WDSRA is also partnering with local organizations to provide inclusive experiences for families. Studio Movie Grill in Wheaton is offering sensory-friendly Special Needs Screenings, while the Naperville Park District and Glen Ellyn Park District are hosting Special Needs Swim Nights and Sensory Swim Nights. The Sensory Garden Playground in Lisle is also hosting a Beach Bash and Storybook Adventure.
